About us

Cairns Convention Centre is an award- winning venue located on the shores of the Great Barrier Reef. The Centre is ideal for conferences with up to 2,500 delegates. The Cairns Convention Centre has been awarded the AIPC’s World’s Best Congress Centre twice in addition to many awards for energy and resource conservation features. Cairns is situated on the shores of the Great Barrier Reef and surrounded by the oldest rainforest on earth, the only place where two World-Heritage listed areas meet. Tropical North Queensland is a destination for all delegates. With a total of 45,000sqm of event space the Cairns Convention Centre has multiple options for business events, including a 2,330-tiered seat auditorium which can be split into smaller spaces, a 5,000-seat arena that is ideal for exhibitions and large gala dinners with 1,470 sqm of floor space. The Centre also has an additional 18 meeting rooms that can be configured to suit numerous event breakout requirements. The Centre is currently undergoing an expansion, with new spaces available in early 2023, including a 410-seat plenary, new exhibition space, ballroom that can host 500 people and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Trinity Outlet. Cairns is fortunate to be surrounds by the Atherton Tablelands, where there is an abundance of premium fresh local produce, ensuring your culinary experience will be amazing. Managed by global venue management company, ASM Global, the Cairns Convention Centre is everything you would expect from an international convention venue located in one of the world’s most desirable destinations.
